YARINA LODGE

During your stay, you can observe many different kinds of birds, innumerous animals and many flowers and plants. Other fascinating adventures such as rides with the canoe, piranha fishing or blowgunt shooting await you. The Yarina Lodge offers a daily program of excursions and guests can simply join whenever they want to.

Monday to Sunday

Monday

After breakfast you will take a small canoe trip with your guides to navigate on the Manduro river to the Sapococha Lagoon. You can walk around the lagoon enjoying a concert of sounds of birds, frogs, monkeys, etc; in addition different types of aquatic plants will be explained to you. Return to the lodge and lunch.
After lunch you will visit the Socali path, characterized for a variety of different jungle lands. This path is used like an introduction trail to learn about the flora and fauna that is possible to find in different types of forest. Return to the lodge to have dinner and resting time.

Tuesday

Today, after breakfast you will visit the Capibara path, an adventure trail with many swamps. Here you will see some palm trees that are impossible to see in other places. They will be pointed out by the naturalist experts. Return to the lodge to take the lunch.
Late in the afternoon the local guides are going to teach you how to use a blowpipe. After this activity you will take a small canoe to enjoy piranha fishing. Return to the lodge to have dinner and resting time.

Wednesday

After breakfast you will take your rubber boots and jungle dresses and you will take a canoe to navigate up river watching birds, butterflies, orchids, amphibians, until you reach the trail "Dos ramas". On a short trekking path, medicinal plants, birds and animals will be explained to you. Return to the lodge and lunch.
After lunch you will take the Tucan trail, this trail will take you to one of the tallest bird watching tower of the Ecuadorian jungle. On the canopy you will stay some minutes watching some species of birds of high altitudes. Return to the lodge, dinner and resting time.

Thursday

After breakfast you will go by motorboat accompanied with your guides out of the borders of the Yarina reserve and visit an indigenous family of the Quichuas of the Ecuadorian Oriente community. Our guides will talk to you about traditions and costumes of these tribes. Return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon you will walk on the “Guatusos” trail which is a new opportunity to learn from our guides the utility of some plants, about birds, insects and animals. Return to the lodge, dinner and resting time.

Friday

After breakfast, you will go deep inside the jungle to a small river surrounded by stones, sand, clay and other elements. In this place the guides will show you the techniques and instruments for the practice of the gold pan.
After lunch you will visit the Socali path, characterized for a variety of different jungle lands. This path is used like an introduction trail to learn about the flora and fauna that is possible to find in different types of forest. Return to the lodge to have dinner and resting time.

Saturday
