Here you can find information about how to travel in Ecuador:
Rent-a-car - Bus
- Taxi - Plane
One possibility to travel in Ecuador is to rent a car. Most of
the streets are in good conditions during the whole year and gas
is cheap (about 1,10 USD per gallon). But bear in mind that Ecuador´s
system of road signs is rather poor.
Car rentals can be found in big cities, such as Quito, Guayaquil
and Cuenca. To rent a car you need an international driving license,
a credit card and your passport. Prices for renting cars vary considerably.
Prices for renting a car, size of a Renault Scenic, cost about USD
82 per day or USD 532 per week, without driver. These prices include
total insurance with unlimited kilometers. Moreover, recommended
car rentals have a 24-hour emergency hotline-service and provide
you with road maps. Inquiries are welcome
and will be transferred to car rentals.
